After a study had done by the American University of Beirut they founded that only a 3% of Lebanon’s land is green. You can realize that by seeing Lebanon from the airplane full of buildings and a little green color spaces. This is what Architect Wassim Melki 28 years old worked for and came with an amazing project that we really hope it will be done for the Lebanese sake. Architect Wassim Melki claims and said “We want to cover the top of nearly every building in the city with trees.” Architect Wassim Melki did his study and found that there are 15000 rooftops are suitable for planting and the majority of these rooftops are in the cities. Melki needs indeed the involvement of the Lebanese residents and he focused on the agricultural side by saying that the olive trees and citrus fruits could be sold and turn the green city to a profitable one at the same time.

The Lebanese Skateboarding Association (LSA) is preparing its skate event for all the Lebanese youth to arrange a safe & non routine event; where they can meet and have same interests and dream. The LSA would like to invite the Media, embassies, Ngo’s, bloggers, sponsors, skaters, and young people and whoever wants to join them at this nice event. This skating event is done especially for young people to share LSA vision and accomplish it & to have skateboarding area to help Lebanon to have professional Lebanese skaters. The pop-up skate park will stay for minimum 40 days for the Lebanese youth to have enough time to practice skateboarding. Lebanese Skateboarding Association will start its event on May 1st at Beirut New Waterfront at 4:00 PM, there will be a graffiti artist, a street athlete, and lots of skaters.
