Tabbouleh and Hommos are 100% Lebanese
Lebanon enters again in the Guinness Book for the Jumbo Plate, Jumbo Hommos Plate and Jumbo Tabbouleh plate
On Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th of October 2009, Lebanon enters in the Guinness Book of Records.
Lebanon listed again in the Guinness Book in three categories:
- Largest plate
- Largest plate of Hommos
- Largest plate of Tabbouleh
In defense of the Lebanese production, a Lebanese festival has taken place in Downtown Beirut to assure that Hommos andTabbbouleh are 100 % Lebanese…and no other country will steal this honor from the Lebanese people.
The plate of Hummus was 2056 kilograms and the Tabbouleh plate weighted 3557 kilograms. Lebanese Hommos and Lebanese Tabbouleh was prepared by 50 chefs and 250 sous chefs, all joined in their cheerful and enthusiastic efforts to beat the world record.
The Largest plate that holds over 3 tons was designed by the Lebanese engineer Joseph Kabalan.
