One of the first and few 5-star properties in the middle of the lively Hamra district, Le Commodore is an excellent choice for shopping, business and in-town fun. Beirut’s colorful seaside is only a skip away, while the downtown is a mere 10 minutes by car at the most. .
With all 204 rooms and the lobby having recently been renovated, this boutique hotel offers all the coziness and charm of a city hotel mixed in with five-star hospitality. The rooms are elegantly designed with warm colors, comfortable sitting areas and various amenities expected in such a hotel.
Perhaps the best-known hotel in Hamra for a good bite, Le Commodore boasts Italian, Asian and Lebanese restaurants on its grounds, as well as a vibrant lobby bar and a breakfast restaurant. The outlets are:
Benihana – Offering the best in sushi and sashimi, with some exotic meals cooked right in front of you at your table.
La Brasserie – Features an interesting breakfast buffet that appeals wholeheartedly to western tastes, and includes some local breakfast specialties to tease the palate.
The Lounge – Right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the lobby, adjacent to a classy lounge bar.
Cucina – modern Italian restaurant with sumptuous thin pizzas, delicious salads and heavenly desserts in a bright atmosphere.
La Casbah – Lebanese culinary delights with live entertainment that features an Arabic singer and a belly dancer (open only in the evening).
