
On an altitude of 900 meters above sea level in the village of Bhersaf near the quaint town of Bikfaya, the Mont Joli Hostel offers a budget option for eco-tourists and adventurers. While not far from Beirut, the area is known for its natural landscapes and typical Lebanese houses with red roofs, as well as for its cooler summers. Dotted with historical points of interest, the village also hosts an annual flower festival and an agricultural fair.
There are 40 single and double rooms at the Mont Joli, with a modest yet homely lobby. The hostel is in the midst of a pine forest, giving it a natural character of its own.
Indoor activities include television and DVD, as well as card games, chess, a library room and a painting exhibition. Outdoor activities are plentiful, from basketball and mountain climbing to gardening and rappelling. Nature activities also abound, such as visiting cheese farms, gathering fruits and vegetables, or hiking.
