Offering an unparalleled view of the valley below, the Monte Alberto hotel sits on a hill above the picturesque city of Zahleh and the Berdawni River. The terraced property with a rotating restaurant implies a panoramic view like no other.
There are three types of rooms at the Monte Alberto, which are single, double and triple. There are also honeymoon suites for brides and grooms who want a nature-filled experience away from the cities, yet close to the beautiful city of Zahleh, considered the bride of the Bekaa valley. The rooms are furnished modestly, yet offer a refrigerator, cable TV, room service and other basics.
The strength of the hotel lies in its cuisine and fine local gastronomy. The restaurant offers local bread baked in front of the guests, with waiters in traditional dress serving hubbly bubblies (water pipes) and Lebanese coffee after magnificent meza dinners. In addition to the wonders of the rotating restaurant, there are a winter terrace and a summer terrace with spectacular scenery and interesting décor. The Alberto Café, in the meantime, offers both Lebanese and continental specialties. There is also an oriental room for water pipes and Arabic coffee, in a 1001-nights setting.
The summer terrace is connected to the hotel by a charming funicular with transports guests up a 45-degree hill. There is also a kids’ entertainment area called Kids’ Land, with slides, swings, a merry-go-round and a mini zoo.
