This family-owned establishment in the center of Tripoli is really a typical Lebanese house with all its traditions and charms. It’s an adventurous way, filled with a lot of local color, to discover the surroundings: There’s a lot to see of central Tripoli including the old markets, the Khan el Saboun or soap factory, historical mosques and much more.
The décor is enchanting, with marble floor, a typical Lebanese living room, and lots of charm. Enjoy a complimentary breakfast every morning, with espresso and tea later on in the day. The place and its rooms have been recently renovated, offering good value for money and all the necessities plus a few luxuries like cable TV, 24-hour room service and AC.

+ The staff were lovely. It was like staying in someone's home, as when you walked up the stairs into the main room gramma was sitting on a sofa, and grandpa was watching tv. The location seems a little bit dodgy at first - down an alleyway (arriving at night was unnerving), but it was great once we got used to it. Pierre helped us set up a driver to take us wherever we wanted once we left Tripoli. Very helpful, and very kind.

- Hard to find originally. It's a bit dated, but we wouldn't take our stay back for a minute.

+ Its friendliness and open, relaxed atmosphere. Pierre is very helpful, courteous and anxious to ensure that his guests enjoy their stay in Tripoli. The Al Koura is very well located, just ten minutes walk from the citadel and right in the heart of the souks. The old stone walls give the place character. Nice breakfast. Plenty of hot water in good, big bathroom.

- Nothing really. (Perhaps BBC World on the TV would help British guests!)
